| Parents and Families of those experiencing
LD or ADHD
Whether experienced by one member of the family
or several, the entire family dynamic can be affected by the presence
of attention and learning challenges. In some instances the family
focus is drawn to the individual with the challenge in a near constant
effort to accommodate the needs of that family member. In still
other cases, siblings without attention and learning challenges
become resentful of the amount of time that parents may focus on
helping to “make things work” in the world of the challenged
individual. Parents who experience attention and learning challenges
have still other issues while attempting to be the best possible
parent and also balance issues of employment, school or relationships.
“Most
people understand that “teachers touch the future”…but
I believe that you have touched the future in a more profound
way than most people can imagine. By providing guidance, and most
of all caring you have given people confidence and skills necessary
to succeed in life. “- ST
